The Hive:
We have a core group of dedicated digital artists, illustrators,
writers and musicians that make up the heart, soul and brains
for your TaylorMade creative department. To maintain a committed
and stable business model, we have developed a process to
assist us in choosing from the best and most flexible candidates.
1. Before anyone is hired on a full time bases into the creative
"hive" (our core group), we must first complete
several projects together on a freelance basis to help us
evaluate the candidates primary strengths. Although some training
can be provided, your ability to meet deadlines and work under
the real world pressures of this business is the most obvious
key to being a successful candidate.
2. Candidates must be willing to take constructive criticism
open-mindedly. We hire team players. You must remain flexible
and act quickly on all client requests, redesigns and tweeks
to complete the project fast and on budget. Time and money
must also guide our actions!
3. There must be a long term need for the skill sets of the
candidate(s) before hiring into the full time core group.
Members of our experienced core group all possess the desire
to learn new skills and also provide guidance for others.
4. The winning portfolios have always been outstanding and
represent a unique approach to the craft(s).
The Freelance network
TaylorMade Marketing began with a network of professional
independent contractors. We continue to work with many of
our original freelancers and look forward to long lasting
business relationship. We think of our freelance network as
our extended family, with our core team being more of the
nucleus of our business. All are very important.
By working with this diverse network of freelancers, we gain
a variety of disciplines while remaining a very lean and flexible
company to work with. We can compete effectively where the
more traditional firms will be more likely to bail out. With
our freelance network, we can easily scale up for larger assignments,
while keeping our costs under control durring slower times.
This method provides an excellent way to see how well we
work together, TaylorMade benefits from a constant supply
of fresh new talent to enhance the offerings at the firm and
to ensure the most attractive mix of quality and at the minimum
cost for our team, while our freelancers get to concentrate
on the work they enjoy and less on the business of it. You
get to be choosier about assignments and let us eventually
work for you as well to help meet your needs with ongoing
marketing to increase your requests for quotes and agreements.

As relevant projects become available we contact the network
candidates to find the best match for our client, and meet
the requirements of the project. Typically, 1 - 11 ideas are
submitted from the freelance network based on the available
descriptions and objectives. The client selects the one they
prefer.
